Interlinkage of a siliconoid with a silsesquioxane: en route to a molecular model system for silicon monoxide

چکیده
A new potential model system for silicon monoxide (SiO) is synthesized by the interlinkage of an unsaturated cluster (siliconoid) with a polyhedral silsequioxane cage. Two derivatives variable linker size are obtained corner-capping reaction Ph7T7(ONa)3 trichlorosilane featuring remote benzylic chloride functionality and subsequent nucleophilic substitution latter anionic hexasilabenzpolarene-type Si6 siliconoid. Based on recently proposed heterogeneous SiO structure, stoichiometry between oxygen reiterates suboxidic interface nano-composite in Si : O ratio 14 12.
